There will be an exam on Friday, April 26.  It will cover the Energy unit! To prepare look at Activities 54-68. I will also post the questions you worked on in class (to prepare for the exam) on this website under the “handout” tab on the home page.  There are 5 review sheets titled “energy station”

Retakes

You may retake the short answer portion of the exam.  To do this you must first complete the review sheet for retakes found under the “handouts” tab.  Turn it into me for a chance at 17 points of the exam.  Retakes MUST be completed by Nov. 6th (Tues).

IMSA 2012-2013

Congrats to those who were accepted into IMSA: Fusion program!!! We will start with the Scale and Proportion Unit.  Remember the afterschool program begins Oct. 15 and runs 2:45-3:45 on Mondays and Tuesdays.  We will be visiting the IMSA campus in January.  I look forward to a great year.

8th grade science 2012-2013

Welcome! I just wanted to post an update of what is happening in 8th grade science in the upcoming weeks. We will be having our 1st EXAM on Oct. 24. Please review your journals to study for the exam.  Be sure to review how to calculate volume, density, safety, chemical and physical properties. Animal Behavior Project

On May 4th, the following assignments will be due(30% of 4th Quarter grade):

1.  Animal behavior research paper and reference list

2.  Animal behavior power-point

Student presentations will begin on May4 and continue on May 7 and 8th

I will be back

I will be returning from maternity leave on April 16th. I am excited to start the 4th quarter….this includes a behavioral research project and physics day at Six Flags.  The unit we will focus on will be energy consumption.

Report card pick up will be April 18th. Ms. Harrigan will be meeting with the parents that day.  I will be available for questions as well.  See you soon.

Exam December 22nd Thursday

There will be an exam covering activities E1-E8, force and motion. Vocabulary, calculating force, mass, acceleration, speed, and results from lab are all fair game for the exam.  Study hard and often!
